Queen Kapiolani Park, Honolulu, Hawaii, photo and story.
Queen Kapiolani Park in Honolulu Hawaii is on the island of Oahu. This 500 acre park was given to the people of Hawaii in 1887 by King Kalakaua. It is named in honor of his wife Queen Kapiolani. You can enjoy the day in the lovely gardens under the shade of the giant Banyan trees. Strolling on the paved perimeters and enjoying the great ocean views. Concerts are given in the Waikiki Shell... you can enjoy the entertainment in the outdoors. Truly a great find in the middle of this tropical paradise. Photo from: about.com
